Stephen Park

I'm a personal trainer and Brazilian jiu-jitsu coach based at OneGym Wynyard. I've competed internationally in BJJ, coached for years, and spent a long time optimising my body purely for performance. That chapter taught me a lot — but it's not what makes me useful to most people.

What makes me useful is everything that came after. Training through serious injuries rather than stopping. Coming back from periods of being completely unfit — not through lack of motivation, but because the body needed time and life got in the way. Learning how to build consistency when the schedule isn't clean and things hurt. I'm 40. I have two kids, do the school run, take them to clubs, work shifts — and I still get my training in. It can be done. I know because I'm doing it.

I'm not training for competition anymore. I'm training to get older well — stronger, more mobile, denser bones, more muscle mass. That shift in mindset changed how I coach. If you're at a similar point — done chasing numbers, want to feel good and keep moving for the long term — that's exactly who I work with.

How it works

Pick your level

Everything starts with the online subscription — your programme, your plan, your accountability. Add in-person sessions on top when it suits you. The more sessions you commit to, the lower your per-session rate.

Lifting with good form isn't just safer — it's more effective. In-person sessions mean proper technique from day one, a spotter for the heavy compound lifts, and someone to push you when you need it.

Single standalone session £50
Hybrid — 1 session / month
£45 per session + online subscription
Save £5 vs standalone
Online coaching plus one in-person session at OneGym Wynyard each month. A monthly check-in to review form, adjust the programme, and make sure everything is progressing safely.
Best for: people returning to training after a break or injury. Confident enough to train alone most of the time but wants a regular check-in with a coach.
Hybrid — 2 sessions / month
£40 per session + online subscription
Save £10 per session vs standalone
Fortnightly face-to-face sessions alongside full online support. Regular form checks, spotting on the bigger compound lifts, and consistent coaching contact without needing a PT every session.
Best for: busy people who train independently most of the time but want regular technique work and a spotter for the heavier lifts. Structured without being overwhelming.
Hybrid — 4 sessions / month
£35 per session + online subscription
Save £15 per session vs standalone
Weekly in-person sessions with full online coaching in between. Maximum structure, maximum support. Sessions booked in advance so training is locked into your week.
Best for: people who are new to lifting, working through rehab, or who simply train better with a coach in their corner every week. Proper form and safe progression from day one.
BJJ privates are available at RGA Darlington — limited availability. Get in touch to discuss.
